I’ve just spent a week in NYC and wanted to share this list of 10 things I noticed. To love or to hate, that is the question.
1. You’ll never be the most original or weirdest person on the street so just be yourself.
2. Do you need to dry clean something while ordering a milkshake at 3 am? Sure, anything else?
3. Everything is made for dogs: ice cream, emergency care, parks, vegan food ... Doggy heaven.
4. They have a decently connected and priced public transport system.
5. No one seems to wear a bra, and I’m here for it.
6. They sell subway merch. They sell individual tree leaves. They sell anything anyone would pay for. Capitalist heaven.
7. Free water (it doesn't make up for the very not free healthcare, but it’s nice).
8. Amazing food and service. So much good food and so many friendly people feeding it to you.
9. In my experience, it’s always sunny.
10. There are queer people and places everywhere. Queer heaven.
